Awesome Mix Vol. 2 (Guess)

Personal project. Inspired by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

[May contain Guardians of the Galaxy Spoilers.] Guardians of the Galaxy had a very fun and iconic sound. That sound largely came from a mix tape that the main character, Peter Quill (Starlord), received from his mother when he was a child. At the end of the movie, we find out he has a second tape. The obvious implication is the sequel will have the same iconic soundtrack of (mostly) 70s pop songs. Movie Cards (In the Works)

Personal project, still in the works.

Over the years, I’ve developed an extensive digital movie library. It’s gotten a bit too large for guests to browse through the library itself. To solve this problem, I’ve started a project to physically display my movie library in an organized and expandable manner for guests to browse. The Gates of Jurassic Park (cookie)

Designed for the 2014 Family Christmas Eve Cookie Contest

For as long as I can remember my mother has hosted a family Christmas Eve party, and for the second year in a row, this party has included a cookie contest. Last year I won with a sheet cookie in the form of a map of Middle Earth (I’ll make a post for this too). As the defending champion, I wanted to take it to the next level, something less 2-dimmensional. I also wanted to stick with the movie theme. So, I made the best damn Gates of Jurassic Park cookie you’ve ever seen!

I learned nearly everything involved on the job. This was a fun project and and a great experience.

Research Incentives Book

Designed for the Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies at PSU

This was a long-term project created to provide information and promote research incentives and resources available to professors and students at Pittsburg State University. It was a long-term project because it probably had more different versions that any other project I worked on for this office.

This slideshow was created and updated by me for the Graduate Office to promote our catalog of graduate programs. We kept the slideshow on display in our office on a screen visible when you walk in, and we set it as a screensaver for the offices public computer. This was also the slideshow we would use at education and career fairs.
